DO Exfoliate Before & After asmuch as waxing helps to remove dead skin cells and ingrown hairs,exfoliation is key. Minimize the chances of ingrown hairs by exfoliating before your wax – this will help remove the layer of dead skin that traps hairs from sprouting. The wax will also be able to cling to more hairs, making it even more effective.
A few days after the wax, gently exfoliate the area again; doing so willallow hairs to grow in a healthy and natural way. This can be done with asoft loofah, and we usually recommend dry brushing before showering.
This should be done gently to avoid micro-grazing or splitting the skin.
DO Moisturize afterThe simple yet most effective way of maintaining post-wax silky soft skin is by moisturizing. Waxing removes the top layer of the epidermisrevealing new, softer skin – but simultaneously strips away the skin’s natural oil and moisture.
DO Take ibuprofen or aspirin 30min before to lessen the pain
DON’T drink caffeinated or alcoholic beverages before your wax. It’s common knowledge that alcohol has a dehydrating effect on the body and
skin, When your skin is dryer, your pores retract – the tighter your pores are, the tighter your skin will be holding onto your hairs, resulting in a more painful wax.
DON”T wait until your hairs are too long.This can make the process longer and more painful.
DONT go swimming or hot tubbing for 24 hrs, also avoid the sun.
